Your favourite artist/album/musical whatever of 2009
« on: December 20, 2009, 04:41:45 pm »

Well, all the critics and newspapers and so on have got theirs done, so what has been your favourite of 2009?

For me, favourite artist of the year would probably be Untold.

Mine was probably watching the Agnostic Mountain Gospel Choir at the Georgian (Though they have been around well before 2009 it was my first taste of them)

Also my album of the year is split between the Manics or Muse

The return of Alice In Chains. They had no right to come back so strongly. Awesome album.

Also Mastodon.

Finally seeing Machine Head live.

Live Band: Blur @ Newcastle Academy
Album: Not one, either I'm not down with the youths anymore there wasn't anything that I thought worthy of the title my favourite album of the year. Maybe possibly Mistabishi - Drop at a push.

I heard you have a compilation of every good song ever done by anybody. Every great song by the Beach Boys. All the underground hits. All the Modern Lovers tracks. I heard you have a vinyl of every Niagra record on German import. I heard that you have a white label of every seminal Detroit techno hit - 1985, '86, '87. I heard that you have a CD compilation of every good '60s cut and another box set from the '70s.
