My band The Chapman Family is flukey enough to be supporting We Are Scientists TWICE next week :

We Are Scientists @ Empire, Tuesday August 26th
Tickets £14 (i think) available from Rocket Retro, Empire etc
Doors 730pm, all ages (14+)

PLUS at a "secret" pub gig in the Old Blue Last in Shoreditch, London on thursday 28th August. This place is like a more poncey, London-ified Doc Browns and the capacity is probably about a hundred, it's gonna be ace. Tickets £7.

It's so secret it was on NME.com www.nme.com/news/we-are-scientists/39011

Also at the Offset Festival on the 30th August near Chigwell in fackin Essex innit at 8PM on the New Bands Stage with Gang of Four, Wire, Young Knives, Blood Red Shoes, Fightstar, Metronomy etc (if you want a ticket for this go to www.offsetfestival.co.uk and type in THE CHAPMAN FAMILY in the box and you get  £10 off). It's not that far away!!

Fuck Batman when you've got the Fly :

"Next up in second support position were The Chapman Family who most would say were lacking in something, well… musical about their performance. It was like watching Sonic Youth on speed, spitting vocals, screeching bursts, feedback and basically just a lot of unwelcome sound. And I didn’t know Alex James, Ex Blur, started a new band? …Spitting image."

On the surface this looks like a terrible review but to be honest it's pretty accurate! I'd be over the moon if we actually were Sonic Youth on speed.
