God created the world in 6 non-specific periods of time. On the 7th he rested, again, for a non-specific period of time.

I wasn't saying that you said it wasn't stupid. I was just making an observation. :thumb

The Hebrew word for day just means a length of time.

I never knew that. Coming from a Roman Catholic upbringing we were always told it was 7 days in our time frame.

Mind you, the story wouldn't be half as impressive if it was put into a realistic time frame (15 billion years perhaps?)

I still think it's a bit of a cop out.

Hasn't the lazy fucker been resting ever since? The only time he did anything after that was apparently when he set a bush on fire and told some dude to kill his family.

Some god.

I found a picture on the internet that summed up christianity pretty well, hehe.. It said something along the lines of:

Christianity: The belief that some cosmic Jewish zombie will make you live forever if you eat his proverbial flesh and drink his proverbial blood, and telepathically tell him that you declare him as your master so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity, all because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat fruit from a magical tree. Makes perfect sense.
