You dont really, you usually have to be invited by someone whos already in one

as darran said. by talking to people that are in one. you have to be willing to contribute a lot usually, so if youre a pure downloader theyre not for you.

Newsgroups are the way to go anyway, costs a few quid a month but you find everything you need on it and its much quicker

Currently using newsleecher to download from the newsrazor servers. Am getting good download rates but am not sure what to do to view the rar files. Also having trouble searching for the right news for TV series. Any advice?

once youve got the .rars downloaded use winrar to unrar them, if you get an error then you may need to use QuickPar on the .par files to repair missing blocks

www.newzbin.com is good and but use Giganews and Newsbin Pro

Giganews may have more retention and connections, but its more expensive. from their site its $29.99 a month for unlimited, vs $14/$19 on gnewshosting. given that at the end of the day it all downloads at max speed anyway, i find it quite hard to justify the extra cost
