COME ON ENGLAND!
I'm feeling pretty confident at the moment... sure it'll all change once we've kicked off...

Well...

It was a gallant effort, but we never looked like winning it, they were just too strong, if that try had of been given though...

should have been given that try, would have made all the difference. they were the better team though.

All things considered, I'm really really happy with how our RWC campaign turned out. I mean, 2nd in the world, and considering the shaky start (36-0 anyone?) getting to the final - via the Aussies and the French - and being beaten by just nine points isn't bad. Our losing margin is a quarter of what it was last month against the Boks, so we've made a massive improvement, and come out ahead of the French, the All Blacks, the Aussies... all of whom were considered much more likely to win it than us at the start of the competition.

Aye, second in the world ain't bad at all - especially considering how shambolic English rugby has been since the last world cup.

The best team in the tournament won it in the end, so fair play to 'em.

Aye, I'd agree with that.
We should be proud of finishing second for sure.

And to be fair, it was only down to the level of discipline. We gave away more kickable penalties. When the boks were right up on our line we held tight and didn't give anything away.
