Rugby World Cup 2007
« on: September 09, 2007, 03:14:38 pm »

Anyone else watching this?
Been some cracking matches so far, Australia are looking good and were mint yesterday (although they were playing Japan...).

I'd like to think England can retain the title but I'm thinking Ireland might go all the way.

ireland will be lucky to make the quarters. The only way that England will make the final is if we meet SA in the semis.

South Africa or NZ will win i reckons. Dont think england will beat SA. Ireland will do ok, but cant see them winning. Been some good game so far tho. Friday night should be a gripping watch....

NZ will go all the way, then I reckon it'll come down between SA and Aus who faces them in the final

The only thing with NZ is they've had a very easy run to the quarters, they looked surprisingly poor against scotland. Then again, it's only scotland, i'm sure that isn't the best they can play.

The team that has impressed me so far is SA, they looked sharp and passionate.

Aus looked very technically good, but didn't seem to have any passion, they didn't look inventive either and when they come up against some better defences, they could struggle.

NZ haven't been playing full force yet though, pointless playing the first squad constantly when there will be bigger games coming up soon. SA are just so impressive, Habana is a fucking machine!

Cmon boys.  Starting to look a little better for england, think if we keep the ball in the fwds, and johny keeps the scoreboard ticking over we have a chance. look a bit weak in the centres like. Fingers crossed though.
