If only these positive views were echoed on the official music live forum!

General concensus of the miseries over there seems to be that it was the worst one yet :(

Shame on them.

Dunno like i preferred last year as it had OCS and the comedy stage. there wasnt really anyone i wanted to see this year, however I do think the atmosphere and everything was better this year, and the fact there were fringe events happening everywhere.

definitely needed more than one gate, got bored of walking! but yeah i had a really good day

nice turnout for the chapman family at noon, their drummer is fantastic. i didnt really have any timetable to stick to so i enjoyed mooching about in the nice weather, watching bands here and there. i always see loads of people i dont see so much at MML so thats always nice.
i thought the fence was a good idea, if people are hell bent on getting booze in they will get it in but im sure booze casualties were down as 12 year olds couldnt just wander around with a 3 litre bottle of lambrini and no machine gun smuggling ;D
tony christie was amazing, ive seen tony christie live, get in! good choice, entertainment for all, even topless boys with bad tattoos and dogs (what was it with the dogs this year!!, was there an illegal dogfighting session going on nearby!)
did set a date to see my friends the lurios on the TMA stage and they didnt disapoint, they attracted a massive crowd who were well up for it, i had to move back a bit for fear of messing my hair up!! kids were crowd surfing and nicking on stage and diving off, at one point the nearby bus stop had three kids going wild on top of it! naughty, naughty! there was a mass stage invasion during the final song ending with little luke lurio being passed around the crowd. i am biased but it was great to see them have a blinder.
had stuff to sort out so i only got to see a bit of good shoes from a window high above a rammed courtyard.
nice to see in true MML fashion the closing act on the main stage, relative newcomers the twang went top ten in the charts a few hours before they went on  :hurrr

it takes massive, massive organisation from the team to pull it all together (and then take it down again) so thanks to everyone who did 'proper' jobs to put another ace day together. i was glad to play my part changing cd's at the after party (adam F came and played DnB for a bit, his dads alvin stardust, crackers!). i can only apologise to ashe and the reverend k that i didnt play electric dreams  :ninja

i wish it could be MML every day :) stubbsy however may beg to differ!!

was loving empire after, that adam f made eveyone angry drunk though glad fil got back on before we saw anymore chewy going ons

biased i may be but lurios were definately one of the bands of the day

other highlights for me were dirty weekend , cutters 'purple onion' , good shoes, jamie sample singing turning japanese by the vapours and the totaly ignored over usage of water bottles filled with vodka

 :heart

We let you off becase we went out for a wander to the crown where Joel delivered both electric dreams and some linedancing cash! boo-ya!

i bet he played shine by take that as well, i think he was trying to set a record for plays in one weekend!
incidently joel, if you are watching, do you have the final number of plays??

Shine got played twice Saturday night, three times on the main MML Stage, twice more in the Crown.

I was drunk as a cunt in the Crown. I played 'All I Want For Christams' by Mariah Carey last.

Big up Team Shine!

The highlight of the day for me was telling this bunch of girls, who asked how we got behind the fence, that me and k-line were in The Twang, to which she presented a bright pink converse and asked us to sign it. Cashback. Also the TMA building having blackcurrant in it - heroes. I got some really nice portraits of Jo as well, and one with mine and darrans names written on her.

Quite happy with some of the photos - not happy with some others! All in all a really good day.

It was alright for nowt I suppose.  The weather was too hot though but I know that its beyond the council's control.

The one way in was a pain as we were parked near the A66 and it took ages to go back to the car to get coats or water or something.

Shy Child were very entertaining, their singer was having a whale of a time.  And the things he could do all on one keyboard / keytar at the same time!

I wouldn't say it was my best one, cos of the line up. My best was the one when Queen Adreena played; I remember watching loads of bands that day. But I defintely had a better ime than last year!
