foot tattoos
« on: February 08, 2006, 09:38:33 am »

Hey all, I'm going to get some stars tatooed on my feet, on the inside arch bit. Just wondering if anyone else has any foot tattoos that I can look at to see how much they fade/where to go/where not to go. Any advise is welcomed. Ta!

my sis has quite a few tatoos and when she had the one on her foot done she was told that it was likely to fade more than anywhere else, however its actually kept its colour well and has hardly faded at all... that's after about 5 years

Got my calfs tattooed.

The two bottom stars didn't hurt but the top of the top star nearest my back knee was rather uncomfortable but nothing too harsh really. I think getting the top stars coloured in will be pretty uncomfortable, but worth it.

Doesn't really help with the foot thing tho. Sorry.

Beke, your stars are perfect :)

that's my main worry, that i'll end up with something that isn't perfect.

was tiny stars, so it'd have to be someone good at line work, but yours look wonderful! Where did you get it done?

I know this is quite silly, but what KIND of pain is it from a tatoo? is it like a burning stinging pain? i imagine it'd be like that. then really itchy? just so i know :)

But unfortunately the not been perfect is just a chance you have to take with tattoos, altho if you go somewhere were you've seen examples of the work done is usually best, as you know what kinda quality to expect.

Mines a bit like Becky, doesn't help with foot tattoo's but i had stars done and mine are smaller than Becky's and the line work in mine is great, altho the photo isn't a great example as it was taken a few days after i'd had it done and was a bit bruised in places.

Mine was done at Ultimate Skin in Leeds.

As for the pain side of things (my personal experience), the best why i can desicribe the most painful bit of my back is like been cut with a razor blade but been burnt at the same time, sounds worse than it is, is uncomfortable but bareable.  And then it itches like hell as it starts to heal heh.

Oh dear lord, so like pain, but more of it?

I guess people wouldn't have so many of them if it wasn't bearable pain tho right? or such a pretty ending that it's worth the pain?

I'm thinking ultimate skin, or hype in Newcastle (cos Mark does it there, and i trust  him)
