Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events
« on: December 20, 2004, 11:05:29 pm »

Saw this tonight. Thought it was absolutely brilliant, although the opinions on it differed within the group of people I was with.

Go see it if you get a chance. :)

We hated the way it went on about not having a happy ending, when it did.

I quite liked it even though it had Jim Carrey in and most of the films he's in tend to be so repetitive but he wasn't too bad and that little baby was so cute  :diandnicolebeingsly

I didn't think this was a bad film, but nothing out of the ordinarily (sp?) great. Enjoyable, comical in some moments, and had a decent storyline. I didn't like the ending however, AND just so i can point out, its not the fact it was not happy, or not sad (however you see it). It was just the way how it ended, just so bluntly, or something.

Christmas With The Kranks > Lemony Snicket :V

Just because CWTK was stupidly hilarious. heh.

Dear Stupid Dog, I've gone to live with the children on Jolly Farm. Good-bye forever, Stewie. P.S.- I never got a chance to return that sweater Lois gave me for Christmas, I left the receipt on top of my bureau. I'm probably over the 30-day return limit, but I'm sure if you make a fuss they'll at least give you a store credit or something. It's actually not a horrible sweater, it's just I can't imagine when I would ever wear it, you know? PPS- You know what, it might be a little chilly in London, I'm actually going to take the sweater.

I hate it when people do that.  I mean if you want to sit and watch a film then by all means do it but why should you sit and talk and ruin the film for everybody else?  You can sit and talk anywhere .. why do it in a place where you're supposed to be quiet.  I bet you're one of those crazy kids who shouts in the library too.  Just because you paid for your ticket it doesnt give you the right.  Somebody got threw out of the UGC last time I went and they were sat talking really loudly through the film.  This made me happy as it was just before I was going to turn around and shout at them to shut the fuck up.  Saved me the job.

Haha.  You'd think that hita nerve or something.  Anyways .. rant over.

I am going to see this on wednesday now.  It looks most excellent  :)
