The minimum United will play will be...38 in the league, 6 in the Champions League, 1 in the FA Cup, 1 in the League Cup, The Super Cup, Community Shield and Club World Championship.

Minimum 49. Maximum 67. (Obviously all this is discounting Cup Replays)

For a while now premiership managers have been complaining about the fact they have too many games to play, so i thought i would compare the leagues.

In the Premiership. Your very own Middlesbrough:

The absolute minimum matches you can play this season is 40 games, assuming you get knocked out in the second round of the League Cup and the third round of the FA Cup.

The maximum matches you can play is 50, assuming you of course get to the finals of both cups.

Compare this to Darlington of the Coca Cola League Two.

The minimum matches they can play this season...is 49. Assuming they too get knocked out of all the cups in the first round.

The maximum matches they can play is a staggering 72, obviously theres no way they will progress to the final of the FA Cup, League Cup, Play-Offs and Johnstones Paint Trophy Cup...but if they did thats how many matches they would have to play.

I guess if theres a point to all this, its should the football league be reducing the amount of games in the lower leagues? As you can see Darlington will only play 1 game less than Middlesbrough if Darlington play the least amount of games and Boro play the most amount. Surely its got to be hard enough for lower league teams to progress in the cups without the huge addition of games.

FINALLY! Something new is happening in York!

I for one, can't wait.

Personally, I think it would be alot simpler if everyone knew the sexuality.

Picture the scene, a gay guy and a straight guy move in together, the straight guy finds out his flatmate is gay, he is uncomfortable with it, the gay guy is uncomfortable living with someone who is uncomfortable with it. An uncomfortable environment just because they werent allowed to ask the sexuality.

You were sick just midway through me making you down a double whiskey, on the kitchen floor... Then you got thrown out, sorry! Although you are a very brave man to attempt the unicum...vile stuff, we've had it for about 5 months and none of us dare touch it...

To Matticus, i probably shouldnt have forced you to down them shots and make you throw up and get kicked out...sorry!

Although your mate threw up on our sofa and broke our door and got taken away by the police so i believe we're probably even!

With a club like arsenal theres no doub he will be playing again, Larsson, Andy Cole, Alan Smith, Ronaldo (twice) have all had double breaks and come back from it all (to the exception of Smith) to win major trophies for world class teams.

Eduardo will be back, he's still young so he'll be fine, obviously it'll take i'd say maybe 2 years before he gets anywhere near as good as he was.

Couple of pictures of the injury he got today...

I think all football fans will wish him a speedy recovery...but I still hope Arsenal lose!

Yes, Yawn! But it would mean that a team who doesnt normally get the chance would be in the final!

Because United have drawn a premiership side for the previous 11 rounds now, I believe that if we beat Portsmouth we will go through to play Middlesbrough and then Chelsea will get ANOTHER lower league side in West Brom and it will be a replay of last seasons cup final.

Or hopefully Its a United vs Chelsea semi final, And purely for the romantics i'd like to see Sheff Utd vs West Brom as the other semi final so a championship side can go play in the Final.
