Aye, we had our moments too with our sound.
It's just something that has to be put down to experience, and measures put in place so it doesn't happen in subsequent years.
We had a few idiots in the comedy tent but the security were pretty much on the ball this year for us.
I do just want to say something about the fringe, just how lucky we are to get this free event every year. The amount of work that goes into providing funding for it is massive, nevermind the actual booking and running of it. You can never please everyone with the line ups, but the commitment to supporting local bands throughout the weekend providing them with a stage they may noy normally get to play is to be applauded.
You're never going to get rid of the chav factor in a town, and I think its dealt with as best as it can. The site is limited to what can be done on there, so saying 'move the stage' isn't quite as easy as that. They're many contributing factors to the positioning of stages, and I think this years layout was the best.
It is the best weekend of my year, and I love it. Fingers crossed we'll have a few familiar names on the comedy stage next year and a few more big hitters from the circuit. I think Lucy Porter wants to come back...
