I think the Butterwick is 'the daddy' around this area for charity, worthwhile cause for cancer, palliative care etc but they have a much higher profile than Zoe's.

Not that any of this matters, he gave 25k to Zoe's amongst other donations on the program. I can't see how SM can be demonised. It highlighted the effects of the Corus closure without lowering the tone into a typical North East drug fuelled town. And he gave a shitload away and also has offered continued support. Its win win for everyone

This show is a bit flawed now, who else would you think it is when some stranger turns up with a camera crew, asking loads of questions about your local community? you must be thick as pig shit if you dont spot the millionaire (or aint seen or heard of the show, obviously)...

the thing is, they probably knew about it and turned the situation into their own gain.... everyone he gave his cash to really laid it on thick i must say.. The Zoes Place scenes (starring that lass with the designer jammies), were like a sales pitch, you could see the pound signs in her eyes.

It was such a cheesy programme i felt quite sick afterwards, the people on it were just crawling up his arse to get loadsa money. awful.

ps. wouldn't the people getting handed the cheque keep a slice? you'd think so wouldn't ya?? haha. can't tell me that it doesn't happen..i would!straight out on the lash, boooom. free money!!

What is flawed about a rich guy giving money to worthwhile causes, which is filmed?

Zoe's Place - a sales pitch? I hope so, because if I worked for a charity and got the chance to highlight the good work the charity was doing and that resulted in more donations then job done. The signs in her eyes alas weren't for her, but for the children they look after, some of them dying from incurable conditions.

p.s. no, I doubt they'd take a slice as the people shown on this program are decent people unlike you who comes across as a sniveling little cock socket.

Have a read (normal Haxed people) of what Zoe's Place does and next time you see a collection box drop your change in, a wothwhile local cause.

Starters in Yarm has its plus points but compared to the other restaurants in Yarm they have a long way to go.

I do enjoy the food and I like the restaurant layout.

Service is very poor, both times I've been there there have been sloppy. The waiting staff all stand at the bar as if its a social event and the customers seem an inconvieniance to them. There's a couple of sour faced cows in there, a smile with the welcome wouldn't go a miss. And they don't attend to you during the meal, both times we had to shout to get their attention for drinks.

If you sit on the left hand side booths you can smell drains.

I think they'll have to revisit their drinks prices for the Middlesbrough branch.

We've decided to run a late show on the 19th December at Big Mouth Comedy

Imagine, 400 pissed up idiots from Middlesbrough in a comedy gig from midnight. I'm sticking around just for the spectacle, nevermind the comedy.

Tickets on sale now via the box office 01642 729729

Cracking lineup too, Duncan Oakley, Greg Cook, Gareth Urwin and MC Barry Dodds

Are you free this Saturday, have a car and fancy doing a bit of driving from M'boro to Hartlepool and back. You'll be needed from 9pm till 1130pm (roughly) to drive a comedian to/from a gig? 20 in your back pocket, plus petrol and I'll guest you into Big Mouth comedy club on a date of your choice (normally 10 per ticket)

E mail me on peter at ten feet tall dot co dot uk if you can do this
