Games, Computers and Tech Issues / Laptop Charging Port.
« on: October 12, 2010, 04:50:34 pm »
Ok, my laptop is faily old but still does what i need...

The main problem is that when its turned on it wont charge unless i faff with the cord for ages then have to trap it in position.

It will charge ok when turned off tho with no faff  :wtf.

Im guessing that the connection port has become loose over time, have been able to prong the pins out a few times but now they seem beyond that, so what im asking is does anyone know of anywhere where i can take it or how to replace the charging connection? i can fix the bit off the plug bit myself....

For info, Presario R3000 (HP/Compaq)

Cheers

Heskey has been replaced in the England squad by a Cumbrian taxi driver. Apparently he's had more shots on target today than Heskeys had all season

Seems like someone took a disliking to him recently....

"His murder - reportedly being hacked to death with a panga on his farm - brings a gory end to a singularly ineffectual political career."

Games, Computers and Tech Issues / Sony Ericsson Satio
« on: November 05, 2009, 07:11:56 pm »
Ok, so I'm round at that time of the contract again where I'm ready for a new offer. (i.e. the 3months before the contract actually runs out)

I do like the Nokia range and fancy the N97 but I really don't want to pay £100 for it. the woman on the phone (granted not English) was adamant that i would enjoy the features of the Satio and I could have that free if i wanted it (some sort of promotion).

Anyone got this thing or heard anything about it?, seems all I can find online are damning reviews comparing it against the N900 :wtf

Ok so my pc was beasted by the annoying ligtning we had the other day, it fried my PSU (with no apparent killing of my board) and now ive had to borrow a 550W from my storage server thing to replace the fried 650W (Same brand), now if i connect all 3 hdd and the 2DVD drives it just goes nuts and turns off as soon as it spins up the secondary drives, if i unplug any drive it boots fine..... so currently a hdd down, surely my 550W should power them??, it atleast used to before the new CPU and MB, surely theyr not 100W worth of hungryness more than the last????

So now i need to get a new PSU of >= 650W, any recommendations?

Ok so im getting a tad annoyed with the amount of diving progressively increasing in the once great PL. Then yesterday, bates was booked and was a bit harsh, then i see Morten Gamst Pederson get away with the most discraceful dive and then have the cheek to turn to the ref and ask the question

See the fucking discrace.......
