it does indeed. oddly enough we are supported by a certain organisation called TMA too ;)

I rest my case.... I can't ever see us providing anything better than the Musicians Lounge thread - we may look at a direct link to it though, if that helps people who are visiting our site?   :thumb

Thats right woodstockton the best thing about woodstock (i.e. bands) and the best thing about stockton (i.e the georgian theatre) meet in one day of excellentness yes excellentness is a word and thats what woodstockton is.

Ask/Tell Haxed / Re:Ticket Printing.
« on: May 17, 2007, 06:10:42 pm »
There are a few companies that will print you books out [usually 100+ per book] which you then hand write - which is a pain in the arse for popular events.  They can also be quite expensive.

We're about to invest in some ticket printing kit and will be offering a box office service for other venues [we run The Georgian Theatre] - not available for a month or so though....

We're open now Jamie - first session in progress as we speak.

'Official news' on its way - with some grand opening celebrations to follow - but feel free to book in anytime.

General / Re:Studio's on Teesside....

wow didn't know this place was still open for business....

anyway does anyone know what the craic is with the new studio in Stockton? I'm that far behind with goings on in Teesside that I've only just found out Studio 64 was moving! I've checked their site but to be fair it's hardly the most helpful thing around, so does anyone know when its due to open, how many studio's they're doing, ballpark prices etc?

might be a bit too much to ask but surely someones got their ear to the ground better than me -ta

Where've you been!!?  Rehearsals have been up and running since June; recordings begin in January - studio is currently under construction; prices will be 20 - 25 per hour depending on session length etc - lots of special deals on offer too; Nathan still in-house engineer.  Analogue and digital formats available.

Website is under construction [as it says] but all available info will continue to appear over the next few weeks at www.greendragonstudios.org.uk

Catch up at the thread above [thanks Tom :mikeisahomo]

Gigs / Re:Helter Skelter...
« on: October 26, 2006, 08:49:04 pm »
Is someone going to record it from the sound desk? It would be a nice memento from the evening, you could even make a couple of quid out of it.

Will have a word with Helter Skelter's old demo meister Nathan - we now have all the Studio kit over at Green Dragon - may be a giggle hooking it all up?

Only if Phil / Nathan OK it though. :mikeisahomo

3 Advance / 4 on the door for this one; advance tickets available from Green Dragon Studios [next door to The Georgian Theatre] - card facilities available [face to face and telephone]  :mikeisahomo

Check first Henry but it's normally just 'photo ID'; there aren't usually any customs checkpoints on routes that start in the Uk [or EU].

Security may not be as informal at airports as it used to be though!

As K-Line says, there'll be a new NExNE forum soon; in the meantime more at www.nexne.org.uk

No cost [seminars or gigs] but it is first come first served to get in - and places are limited. :mikeisahomo

The only downside is the no smoking malarky which is bearable.

Did you know that Studio 64 is actually no smoking?  At least with the new place we have a nice little covered yard for those who need it.

But hey, this time next year you won't be able to spark up anywhere in public!  :-\

Why don't you take a deposit when bands book to rehearse, or make them pay in advance to try and nip the cancellations in the bud?

Bands cancelling [although a pain in the arse] isn't much of a problem; in the old building though WE were sometimes forced to cancel or re-arrange rehearsals when we had a recording in - because the noise from the rehearsal would affect the recording.
