Once upon a time, there was a band called JUNIOR ELVIS. Then there wasn't for a bit. And now there is again. They are absolutely class and are playing their greatest hit songs upstairs just for a night.

Joining them on stage is fellow Saltburnian FOLK DADDY (F.DIDDY/NOTORIOUS B.E.N) to sing a-capella/organ ditties of labour, memories and jolly wassails.

Middlesbrough misfits PINTER (1/2 of Pellethead) join the bill to bring songs and poetry of local nature, punctuation, and acquaintances met.

Look out for awesome art by PEG POWLER and SHAUN ELLIOTT of Pellethead/Pinter- and discs for sale also.

Finest drinks available downstairs at the bar and excellent music on the stereo between acts.

DOORS AT (about) 8PM - 2 IN - upstairs in The Tavern, Linthorpe Rd, Middlesbrough

Good Eats / chef pacey's doughnut burgers
« on: August 23, 2010, 08:05:22 pm »
last saturday night i happened to experience the phenomenal donut burger, knocked up by pacey in alberts beer garden.

it comprises of a beefburger, a bit of cheese, a slice of bacon (which i decided to omit because i think it's manky), sandwiched between an inverted greggs doughnut. the sugar melts down onto the meat, henceforth constituting a quality bit of grub.

recommended.
