I'm Gavin (as you can see by my username) but I used to go by the name Dell_Zincht, Cybermong and a few other monikers over the years. I've just spent the last couple of days reading my entire post history (which was re-set so many times on here!) I was one of the earlier members, joining in 2002 on the old forum. I went to Blaises/Trashed/No Noise/Blackout/Sumo/The Crown/FYR+Club Replica. You probably saw me wearing a pair of studded leather gloves at Trashed as that was when I was out the most often.

Nowadays, i'm 35 with a wife and two children. I work as a security guard and still live in the area. Drugs and booze are a thing of the past, I tend to drink real ale these days and my clubbing days are well behind me. I'm all grown up, which considering some of my posts merely a decade and a bit ago, is amazing  :laugh

Movies, Shows & Books / Re: What you bought?

I buy far too many DVD's. I both hate and love Cash Generator/Converters.

As they say, one man's rubbish is another man's treasure, recently (past month) I bought from there, for 2.50 each:

Scarface - Ultimate Collectors Edition (The one with the silver slipcase)
Trainspotting - The Definitive Edition (Previously only owned on video, and with the DVD being deleted this was a steal!)
The Day Today - 2 Disc edition, (discs in mint condition, doesn't even look like it's been played)
L.A Confidential (One of my favourite films and an essential Spacey flick, let's be honest)

I've bought a few modern DVD's too, but I have this stance against paying full price for a New Release DVD these days. Especially when I know the sort of markups being made on them. If the MPAA wanted rid of piracy, it could bring the price of DVD's right down, like CD's have started to.

Yeah maybe, i'm just interested as to why he didnt think it was as good as the hype made it out to be.

Nothing wrong with that, and if he's not just saying it to be controversial then he'll have some good points, won't he?

I liked it, but I didn't think it was all that it's cracked up to be.

Would you mind clarifying? I don't mind people having a different opinion, as long as they say why they didn't think it was as great as everyone else did.

Tokyo Drift was mint, best of the three IMO.

Although the Initial D series is better than them all.

This being a prequel to Tokyo Drift makes sense as well seeing as how
Vin Diesel's character shows up at the end of TD.
Whoops, when I said scan it in I meant take a picture of it, it was late last night and I was knackered  :P

Going to see this again tomorrow, it was THAT good.

Holy fucking shit.

This film was AMAZING, and Heath Ledger's performance as The Joker made my jaw drop.

I'll scan the poster later or something, been at work all day and very tired now.

I told myself I wasn't going to watch this series, but then I watched a couple and now I love it. Darnell irritates the hell out of me, as does Sarah. And Rex actually. And Maysoon has to be the most boring person in Big Brother EVER.

I want either Luke or Bex to win, and they are so in love, just in denial about it.

With opinions like that, you shouldn't be allowed to watch Big Brother.

How much for the Chronicles of Narnia compilation? I used to have the really nice boxset but then lost it and wouldn't mind re-reading the series.
